ESO Mundus Stones Guide

This guide covers everything about mundus stones in the Elder Scrolls Online from the buffs they give to location to which is best for your character. Listed below is a written list of the mundus stones, their bonuses, locations, and the best one to use for each role. The video here goes over what the Mundus stones do, but you can also see them written below. The video’s mundus stone recommendations are a bit out of date, but the updated information can be seen here in the written guide below.

• The Lady: Increases Physical & Spell Resistance
  • Auridon, Glenumbra, Stonefalls
• The Lover: Increases Spell Penetration
  • Location: Auridon, Glenumbra, Stonefalls
• The Lord: Increases Max Health
  • Location: Grahtwood, Stormhaven, Deshaan
• The Mage: Increases Max Magicka
  • Location: Grahtwood, Stormhaven, Deshaan
• The Tower: Increases Max Stamina
  • Location: Grahtwood, Stormhaven, Deshaan
• The Atronach: Increases Mag Recovery
  • Location: Greenshade, Rivenspire, Shadowfen
• The Serpent: Increases Stam Recovery

BEST MUNDUS STONES BY ROLE

• Stamina DPS
  • Shadow – Currently the best stone in terms of PvE DPS if you can reach penetration cap and have a good bit of crit in your build.
  • Warrior – Competitive with Thief for DPS in PvE assuming penetration cap is reached.  Great mundus choice to add more damage to your build in PvP.
  • Lover – Best stone if you’re not at penetration cap for PvE.  Also a solid choice for PvP if you feel you need more penetration in your build.
  • Thief – Second best stone in terms of PvE DPS assuming penetration cap is reached.
  • Tower – Lower choice pick for PvE, but still not a bad one. A great choice for PvP if you want not only a bigger resource pool but some extra damage (doesn’t give as much raw dps as Warrior though)
  • Serpent – If you feel you need more recovery in PvP
• Magicka DPS
  • Shadow – Currently the best stone in terms of PvE DPS if you can reach penetration cap and have a good bit of crit in your build.
  • Apprentice – Competitive with Thief for DPS in PvE assuming penetration cap is reached.  Great mundus choice to add more damage to your build in PvP.
  • Lover – Great stone if you’re not at penetration cap for PvE.  Also a solid choice for PvP if you feel you need more penetration in your build.
  • Thief – Second best stone in terms of PvE DPS assuming penetration cap is reached.

  • Atronach – If you feel you need more recovery in PvP
• Tank
  • Lord – More health is always a good thing as a tank.
  • Atronach – More recovery for more skill usage if you feel your health is in a good spot (my recommendation)
• Healer
  • Ritual – If you want to increase healing effectiveness
  • Atronach – Healers love to have high recovery (my recommendation)
