Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Magicka Warden Build PvE, the Shaman, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for PvE content of all kinds: trials, vet dungeons and solo adventuring!

The new champion point system has brought up Dual Wield setups, which is slightly better on the dummy assuming melee range is possible. Inferno staff is still good with 1~2k DPS loss, but having the flexibility to play at range. Even in situations where we cannot use the flank crit CP (backstabber), Magdens are still good using the AOE CP (Biting Aura), where Magblades and Magsorcs with “more” single target, direct damage proportion do not benefit as much as a Magden or Magnecro. Use whichever weapons you prefer for the front bar (if you go Dual Wield, you’ll want to use 2 daggers with Nirnhoned/Charged traits).

Main Bar – Dual Wield: Deep Fissure, Fetcher Infection, Screaming Cliff Racer, Mystic Orb, Camouflaged Hunter, Wild Guardian

Back Bar – Destruction Staff: Winter’s Revenge, Unstable Wall of Elements, Barbed Trap, Resolving Vigor, Blue Betty, Wild Guardian

Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal

For this build both mortal or vampire would be fine, but I recommend mortal. If you do really want to be a vampire, make sure you can use the skill Blood For Blood most of the time, or else you would just receive sustain nerfs without much benefit from vampire.

Champion Points

The list below showcases the order in which champion points should be acquired, the number of points you need to place into that perk and whether or not it needs to be slotted in the CP bar. The Warfare CP perks increase your damage and mitigation and are the most important, the Fitness tree has some miscellaneous sustain and defensive perks and the Craft tree has crafting and non-combat bonuses. The Craft CP points are entirely customizable to however you want, or you can follow the list below.

Resource Management & Rotation

We are using a dynamic rotation to maximize our DPS, so there’s no static rotation. Warden has an easier rotation since we cast Deep Fissure every 3rd cast, so the stem of the rotation is:

Deep Fissure > Skill > Skill > Deep Fissure > Skill > Skill > Deep Fissure ….
Your objective at the start is to apply all of your DoT’s and buffs in between the Deep Fissure casts, and then as the fight goes on, those skills between Deep fissure casts will be any DOTs / Buffs that just ended.  If all of them are still up, then Screaming Cliff Racer would be the skill to cast, also known as our “spammable”. Check the video below for a clearer picture of the rotation

It might take a bit of time to get used to it, but I highly recommend practicing a dynamic rotation so that you won’t mess up your rotation even if you have to do mechanics.
