Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Magicka Warden DPS PvE build, the Shaman, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for PvE content of all kinds: trials, vet maelstrom arena, dungeons and solo adventuring!

While I originally created a purely frost themed PvE build, I came up with something else while playing it that I thought would be equally as fun but a bit more effective. This build focuses on being the master of the elements, utilizing nature, frost, fire and lightning to each of their individual strengths to deal damage. While this isn’t your stereotypical “meta” magicka warden and is more of a themed build, it’s still very effective and is veteran trials viable. This build is also extremely easy to use and has a very basic rotation since a lot of our skills are focused around giving us passive damage boosts, so it is very new player friendly.

Main Bar – Flame Staff: Force Pulse, Fetcher Infection, Blue Betty, Bird of Prey, Inner Light, Eternal Guardian

Back Bar – Lightning Staff: Winter’s Revenge, Elemental Blockade, Harness Magicka, Channeled Acceleration, Inner Light, Eternal Guardian

Alternative Skills

  1. If you don’t have Summerset, feel free to substitute Rearming Trap in for Channeled Acceleration.
  2. If you want to do solo overland content or veteran maelstrom arena, remove Channeled Acceleration / Rearming Trap and replace it with Living Trellis.

Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal

For this build I recommend playing a vampire.  I feel that when playing a magicka warden in PvE, the benefits from having vampirism outweigh the negatives.  It isn’t mandatory, but I’d use it.

Resource Management & Rotation

Activate Blue Betty and Channeled Acceleration pre-fight.

Winter’s Revenge > Light Attack > Elemental Blockade > Weapon Swap > Light Attack > Fetcher Infection > 5x Force Pulse (Light Attack between each skill use) > Weapon Swap > Restart

  • Refresh Channeled Acceleration whenever it wears off before you weapon swap back to your front bar. On that rotation, use 4x Force Pulse instead of 5x.
  • Refresh Blue Betty whenever it wears off. Whenever you have to refresh Blue Betty, use Force Pulse 4x in that rotation instead of 5x.
  • Use Harness Magicka as needed.
  • Use the Guardian’s Wrath every time it’s up. On that rotation, use 4x Force Pulse instead of 5x.
