Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s heavy armor Stamina Dragonknight DPS PvP Build, Dragonborn, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for PvP of all kinds: battlegrounds, Cyrodiil, dueling, and Imperial City.  This build can be played in both CP and no-CP pvp, and the build changes are noted below!

This build is a heavy armor setup that is very well rounded in all areas – it’s incredibly tanky, has amazing sustain and has extremely high weapon damage (only downfall is it’s not the most mobile setup). This setup is a staple stamina dragonknight build that has been around the PvP community for patches, and this build guide goes over how I am running that build on my stamDK.  If you like sustain DoT pressure, good burst, being tanky and truly feeling like a Dragonknight, you’ll really enjoy this build!

Keep in mind that PvP builds are very personal.  This is what worked for ME.  If you don’t like something about it, change it to fit your playstyle.

Gear Choices

Seventh Legion: This set gives a respectable amount of weapon damage for a heavy armor set, in addition to a really nice heal that can proc on damage every two seconds. It  is really easy to have 100% uptime on the 5 piece on as long as your in combat, since it has a 5 second duration and can proc every 2 seconds. Seventh Legion is always in my stamDK builds for a reason; it’s just a staple set for the class.

Warrior’s Fury: Gives some of the most weapon damage you can get off of a set in ESO. In CP, you’re getting crit a ton, so it’s easy even if fighting a small number of opponents to get this set up to max weapon damage stacks very quickly. If you’re fighting multiple opponents, it happens even faster. For No CP, you want to replace this set with Shacklebreaker, which helps compensate for a lot of StamDK’s weaknesses in no CP.  Fury isnt as good in no CP since people need to kite more due to taking more damage (since there is no red CP mitigation), so it has a tendency to fall off frequently. Plus, it takes longer to stack up since people are critical hitting less.

Blood Spawn: As far as I am concerned, this is THE stamDK monster set. Every single thing that Blood Spawn gives stamDK is perfect for the class – the stam recovery is always welcomed, ultimate gained gives more damage and helps with sustain via battle roar, and the resistances help keep you at resist cap.

Tips & Misc.

  • Maintain your Volatile Armor and Rally to make sure you have your major brutality and resistances up at all times.
  • Start with your Heroic slash, apply your DoTs, Reverb Bash and then go into a Leap. If they’re below 50%, start hitting them with executioner. If your target isnt below 50%, weave with Heroic slash until your DoTs need to be reapplied and start that process over.
  • Try to use Fragmented Shield at least every 20 seconds to keep minor brutality up.
  • Use Fragmented Shield before you use Resolving Vigor to buff the entire heal by 25% with Major Mending.
  • Wings is your main snare removal and it costs a ton of magicka – be careful with how much you use your other magicka skills to make sure you’re able to use this in a pinch. Also use wings to reflect clenchs, snipes, etc.
