Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Stamina Warden PvE DPS Build, Nature’s Commander, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for general PvE, vDungeons and Trials.

The Stamina Warden is a great all around class providing both high AoE and single target damage all while sustaining really well thanks to the passives and skills that the warden offers such as the bull netch.  The Stamina Warden also offers a ton of healing through the Green Balance tree and for that reason is one of the more forgiving stamina classes for a beginner to start with.

Gear Explanation & Alternatives

Velidreth

Tried and tested stamina DPS monster set. Fires three spores forward in a cone, multiple can hit the same target.

Arms of Relequen

Relequens vastly outperforms every other set in strictly single target and fights have that high time on target. Keep in mind, it is a situational set, but in those single target fights it really does shine. It comes in two forms, Perfected Arms of Relequen and Arms of Relequens, with the perfected version having an additional stamina bonus on the 5PC.

Tooth of Lokkestiiz

One of the new sets that drops from Sunspire. Grants you Major Slayer for 15 seconds when you activate a synergy. This is typically ran on your front bar so it is very important that you only activate synergies whilst on your dual wield bar.

Alternatives

If for whatever reason you are unable to acquire the gear listed in either of the preferred setups above here are some alternatives.

Monster Helms: Stormfist

5PC: War Machine, Briarheart, Vicious Ophidian, Strength of the Automaton, Two Fanged Serpent, Ravager, Veiled Heritance, Advancing Yokeda.

Jewelry: Agility

Attributes

64 Stamina

It is important for end-game PvE to have 17,000+ health with buff-food active. Depending on your choice of race and current champion points you may or may not reach this threshold. If you do not have 17,000 health put enough points into health to reach this threshold and the rest into Stamina.

Skills

Rending Slashes Cutting Dive Subterranean Assault Bull Netch Bird of Prey Wild Guardian
Endless Hail Rearming Trap Razor Caltrops Poison Injection Bird of Prey Wild Guardian

Main Bar – Dual Wield:  Rending Slashes, Cutting Dive, Subterranean Assault, Bull Netch, Bird of Prey, Wild Guardian

Back Bar – Bow: Endless Hail, Rearming Trap, Razor Caltrops, Poison Injection, Bird of Prey, Wild Guardian

Alternative Skills

Steel Tornado – Slot this for trash fights, has a built in execute and deals a ton of AOE damage on top of Caltrops and Endless Hail.

Resolving Vigor – Slot this if you need some extra healing, pretty much mandatory for content such as Maelstrom Arena.

Green Lotus – You can switch Bird of Prey on the back bar for this if you prefer, personal preference.

ULTIMATES

If you would rather not use the bear (Wild Guardian) ultimate you can replace it with Dawnbreaker on the front-bar and back bar Ballista.

Other Important Info

Buff Food

Braised Rabbit with Spring Vegetables (Max Health & Stamina)

Redguard and Bosmer can comfortably sustain the rotations I provide whilst using bi-stat food.

Artaeum Takeaway Broth / Dubious Camoran Throne (Max Stat and Recovery)

If you are having trouble sustaining due to your group support, race and champion points go with this food instead.

Races with no inherent stamina sustain such as Orc, Khajiit and Dark Elf should run this food.

Mundus

Shadow – Increases Critical Damage

Race

  1. Orc
  2. Khajiit / Dark Elf
  3. Redguard / Bosmer

Potions

Potions

Weapon Power Potions (Weapon Damage, Weapon Critical and Stamina)

Requires Blessed Thistle, Dragonthorn and Wormwood to create.

Passives

Animal Companion (ALL), Winter’s Embrace (ALL), Green Balance (ALL), Dual Wield (ALL), Bow (ALL), Medium Armor (ALL), Fighters Guild (Intimidating Presence, Slayer, Banish the Wicked, Skilled Tracker), Undaunted (ALL), Racial (ALL), Alchemy (Medicinal Use).

Resource Management & Rotation

The following is the rotation that works for me. Depending on your race / champion points and other factors you may need to add more heavy attack weaves on your front-bar per rotation to sustain throughout long fights.

LA – Light Attack

HA – Heavy Attack

WS – Weapon Swap

Before entering the fight make sure to cast Bull Netch.

The most important part of the Stamina Warden rotation is Subterranean Assault which we cast every third ability to ensure a higher uptime on major fracture and because it is one of our highest damaging abilites. To do this it requires bar swaping mid bow bar rotation to recast Subterranean Assault. By doing this it also means we’re able to use our light attacks  on our front bar after Rearming Trap and before Razor Caltrops resulting in a little higher DPS due to our weapon damage being naturally higher on our Dual Wield bar.

Dual Wield:

LA – Sub Assault – LA – Rending Slashes – LA – Cutting Dive – LA – Sub Assault – LA – Cutting Dive – LA – Cutting Dive – LA – Sub Assault – WS

Bow:

Endless Hail – LA – Rearming Trap – WS – LA – Sub Assault – LA – BS – Razor Caltrops – LA – Poison Injection – WS

Reapply Bull Netch at the end of your dual wield rotation when needed and use one less cutting dive.

When you need to cast Wild Guardian (ultimate) replace the cutting dive after rending slashes with it.

If heavy attacks are needed to sustain the best way to implement them is to LA – Sub Assault – HA – Cutting Dive. Cutting Dive is mostly a filler for when nothing else needs to be cast and heavy attacks are not needed for sustain.

Tips & Misc.

Vampire

Being a Vampire provides a free 10% Magicka and Stamina Recovery through the Supernatural Recovery passive. The downside being up to 25% extra flame damage taken. The stamina recovery is redundant for the recommend races I provided as you’re able to sustain easily via heavy attacks and weapon power potions and for that reason I don’t go Vampire but the option is there.

Survivability

If you’re having trouble surviving feel free to replace Rending Slashes with the alternative morph Blood Craze and swapping Bird of Prey on the bow bar to another utility skill such as a Vigor or Green Lotus for added healing.
