Beginners Guide to the Infinite Potions in BDO

Beginners Guide to the Infinite Potions in BDO

The infinite potions are some of the most sought after treasures in the world of BDO, giving you one of the biggest quality of life boosts in the game. These potions, Ornette’s Spirit Essence and Odore’s Spirit Essence, give you access to an infinite health potion and an infinite mana potion. This makes it so that you never need to worry about ever buying health and resource potions basically ever again, and allow you to be significantly less conservative with what you set your fairy’s auto potion at, since you don’t need to worry about ever running out of potions. Since these are a treasure item though in BDO, you should expect this to take quite some time to acquire. But, although its a pretty big grind, it’s definitely worth grinding for.

Infinite Potions

To start grinding for these, you need to go to specific areas in Black Desert and grind mobs which have a small chance to drop items that you need to construct these potions. you need to acquire 5 pieces for the health potion, 5 for the mana potion, and configure them like a cross in your inventory to then combine them into the potion you were going for.

For the health potion, you need to acquire:

  • Sherekhan’s Panacea from Sherekhan Necropolis
  • Ron’s Tintinnabulum from the Tooth Fairy Forest
  • Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak from Bloodwolf Settlement

Once you have those 3 pieces, you’re able to acquire the final two pieces. To do this, you need to talk to Merindora in Kamasylvia who will have some quick quests for you to do to gain the final 2 pieces. The Musical Spirit’s Sound Stone is obtained by giving Moyamo 300 Peridot Leaves, which can be acquired from Kamasylvia Dailies (Moyamo is the Node Manager of Okiara River in Kamasylvia, southeast of Grana). Gayak’s Courage Stone is obtained by giving Camira 30 Garmoth’s Scales, which can be looted from mobs in Dreighan or purchased off of the MP (Camira is the <Node Manager> of Sherekhan Necropolis, located in Dreighan). You can then combine them in this fashion and you will get your infinite health potion!

For the mana potion, you need to loot:

  • Markthanan’s Gland from Tshira Ruins
  • Narc’s Crimson Tear from Manshaum Forest
  • Valtarra’s Clairvoyance from Navarn Steppe.
    • However, for Valtarra’s Clairvoyance, you need to skin the corpses of the mobs with a tanning knife.

Once you have those 3 pieces, similarly to the HP potion, you’re able to acquire the final two pieces. To do this, you need to talk to Merindora in Kamasylvia who will have some quick quests for you to do. Krogdalo’s Protection Stone is obtained by giving Krogdalo’s Trace 100 Rumbling Earth Shard, which can be acquired from mobs or off of the MP (Krogdalo’s Trace is the Node Manager of Krogdalo’s Trace in Kamasylvia, northwest of Grana). Night Crow’s Dawn Stone is obtained by giving Ominous Altar 100 Dragon Scale Fossil, which can be obtained from certain mobs or off of the MP (Ominous Altar is the Node Manager of Garmoth’s Nest in Dreighan, northeast of Duvencrune). You can then combine them in this fashion and you will get your infinite mana potion!

Pity System

While the pieces that drop from mobs have a very low drop chance, there is a system in the game known as the pity system which makes this process feel like you’re making progress when you’re not getting the full drop. By collecting 100 of the pity pieces, you can show them to Menindora and obtain the full piece! You can get Blood Wolf’s Oath from Blood Wolf Settlement, Dragon’s Fang from the Sherekhan Necropolis, Tranquil Tinniolum from Forest Ronoros, Katzvariak’s Venom from Tshira Ruins, Valtarra’s Memory from Navarn Steppe, and Narc’s Solace from Manshaum Forest. Once you show these to Merindora, she will give you an item as shown in the chart to combine with your 100 pity pieces via simple alchemy, and then you’ll acquire the full piece.

There is also a weekly quest you can do by talking to the node manager at each of the nodes that correspond to the areas you’re farming. The node manager there will give you a kill quest for the mobs in the area, and when you complete that quest, you’ll get 5 pity pieces, helping to further your progress.

There is also a pity potion for the health potion. To do this, simply combine 1 full potion piece with Everlasting Water, which Menindora will give you if you show her the piece you have. This will give you a weak version of the infinite potion. You can then upgrade it by combining a second piece with your tier 1 infinite potion to get the tier 2 potion. To get the full tier 3 potion, you need to combine the 3rd piece along with the two pieces you acquire from the node managers in one of the following configurations. Once you do this, you will get the full infinite potion. Do keep in mind there is no version of thie pity potion for the mana potion.
