Introduction
Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Warden Tank/Healer PvE Build, the Druid, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for 4-man dungeons without a dedicated healer. Many dungeons are easier if run with a tank and 3 DPS. A tank that can also provide healing will make this a breeze. This build works well in normal trials but isn’t designed for veteran trials. There is an alternative for trials on DottzGaming.com website.
The tank/healer build revolves around maintaining taunt on key targets while providing a variety of buffs to the group in terms of healing and damage.
NOTE: The most important piece of advice playing a tank is to learn your class and understand the situations you are going to be in while tanking. Following a build is not a recipe for being a good tank, it’s just one of a large number of possible paths to follow. The best build for you is the one that works for you. If you’re looking for a trials/pure tank build, check out this guide.

Rationale for gear choices:
- Nightflame is a fantastic helm set for a healer. The constant healing output from this build from the blood altar, budding seeds and enchanted forests will proc this set very often.
- Akaviri Dragonguard is a heavy armor set providing you with needed resistances, more magicka recovery and lower cost ultimates.
- Vestment of Olorime provides a weapon and spell damage buff to your team mates whenever you cast ground based abilities.
- We use a destruction staff on the back bar for a good crusher enchantment.
Alternative Gear Choices
Set | Acquisition | Notes |
Shalk Exoskeleton | Stonefalls | This set provides you with minor heroism all the time, increasing your ultimate generation but it does offer you less magicka recovery. |
Master Architect | Halls of Fabrication | As we use a cheap ultimate, Master Architect can proc major slayer on a few team mates quite often. |
Attributes
Magicka – 0
Health – 60
Stamina – 4
Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal
Yes, be a vampire. You receive increased magicka recovery and being undead you take less damage if you are low health. Maintain stage 3 vampire for best benefit.
Skills
Skill | Skill Tree | Notes |
Heroic Slash | One Handed & Shield | This skill applies the minor maim debuff on the target and grants you minor heroism which increases your ultimate generation. Keep this up as your stamina pool can sustain it. |
Pierce Armor | One Handed & Shield | This is our primary taunt for enemies in front of us. It also debuffs with major fracture and breach. |
Budding Seeds | Green Balance | Our primary healing skill we keep up all the time. This isn’t an emergency heal as it takes a few seconds to activate, but once it does, it will proc Olorime and the Maturation passive. If you’re in a tight spot, you can cast it again while the field is growing to force it to activate immediately. A friendly ally can also activate the synergy for additional healing. |
Bull Netch | Animal Companions | The bull netch provides you with stamina over time. Keep this companion active at all times. |
Enchanted Forest | Green Balance | Heal allies in the radius of the ability instantly and over time plus if any team member had < 50% health you gain 20 ultimate. |
Elemental Blockade | Destruction Staff | This applies an 8-second ground AoE in front of you. This AoE will hit one target with your crusher enchantment and continue to re-proc it for as long as you maintain your blockade. This skill can also proc Olorime. |
Sanguine Altar | Undaunted | Drop a long lasting blood altar that heals you and your allies. Allies can also synergize it for additional healing. |
Inner Rage | Undaunted | This is your ranged taunt. |
Expanding Frost Cloak | Winter’s Embrace | Big resist buff for you and team members. |
Frozen Device [FLEX SLOT] | Winter’s Embrace | Teleport enemies to you for quicker group AoE damage. This morph also applies major main to teleported enemies. |
Deceptive Predator | Animal Companions | This skill grants minor evasion for just having it slotted. If activated it also gets you a brief speed boost. Having it slotted also increases your magicka recovery via the Flourish passive. |
Aggressive War Horn | Alliance War Assault | Provides your group with 9.5 seconds of major force and 30 seconds of increased max resources. Without doubt the best ultimate for a tank. |
FLEX OPTIONS | ||
Shimmering Shield | Winter’s Embrace | Absorbs ranged projectiles, return magicka to you and grants you major heroism. |
Gripping Shards | Winter’s Embrace | An AoE root similar to DK talons. |
Energy Orb | Undaunted | Provides healing and synergies for your group. |

Mundus
Atronach – Magicka Recovery
Race
- Nord (recommended)
- Imperial
- Argonian
In this patch the Nord race is recommended due to its tankiness, extra stamina and ultimate generation. Imperial is another strong race with solid sustain and Argonian is also well suited with extra sustain from potions and healing.
Potions
Potions:
- Tri-Stat (Bugloss, Columbine and Mountain Flower) (Recommended)
- Regular Stamina or Magicka restoration potions
- Health + Lingering Health (Butterfly Wing, Scrib Jelly, Water Hyacinth)
Poisons:
- Alkahest + Bugloss + Mudcrab Chitin + Mountain Flower: Poison that drains health and applies minor fracture and breach. Use if no one in your group applies Power of the Light.
- Alkahest + Dragonthorn + Columbine + Mountain Flower: Poison that drains health and restores health, stamina, and magicka for you.
There are many more potentially useful combinations. The above are just some examples.
