Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Solo Stamina Dragonknight Build PvE, The Companion, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for playing solo PvE content, such as questing, public dungeons, Maelstrom Arena, etc.! This build is themed based on the Companions guild from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.  We wield a 2h and a sword and shield as our weapons, with the option to go into werewolf form if we so desire!  My goal with this build was to create a stamina dragonknight build that could play solo effectively, was extremely easy to pilot and had strong thematic ties, so you will be unleashing the beast in the Elder Scrolls Online with this themed solo PvE build!

Gear Set Explanation

Bloodspawn: Amazing monster set for a werewolf build. Since we we now gain our major resistance buff inside of werewolf form, we no longer need Mighty Chudan. This set not only gives us additional armor inside of werewolf form, but it gives us ultimate generation and stamina recovery. While the ult gen doesnt do much inside of werewolf form, it helps us get back into quicker should we drop out.

Shacklebreaker: Really good set for werewolves due to the amazing stat spread it offers. The boost to our stamina and weapon damage is of course welcomed, but having that extra magicka pool allows us to heal ourselves more frequently. This can be extremely crucial in certain points while solo’ing in werewolf form – you never want to not have enough resources for your heal!

Vengeance Leech: Amazing set for resource sustain while solo’ing – this just keeps all your pools topped off as you kill everything. I know some people wonder why I use this on a werewolf since the primary damage is light attacks, but I like to weave in Howl of Agony when I need to burst something, so that extra sustain is welcome!

Ring of the Pale Order: This set is the strongest mythic for solo PvE. We get passively healed as we deal damage, and none of the drawbacks of this set apply to use since this is a solo PvE build!

Trainee: Since we use a mythic, we have 1 free item slot, allowing us to use a piece of trainee for a boost to our maximum health!

Attributes

All points into Stamina.

Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal

Since this build uses Werewolf as a primary ultimate and it’s so closely tied to the build’s theme, we are obviously going to make our character a werewolf for this build. The werewolf can be used to solo really tough bosses/instances with ease, and with enough practice, you can keep it up 100% of the time inside of a dungeon or vet maelstrom arena!

Resource Management & Rotation

Rotation for werewolf is incredibly simple: use your fear, howl of agony, and light attack to your heart’s content. You can also weave Light Attack > Howl of Agony when you need to burst something down quickly. Use feral pounce to get to mobs in a hurry, and use your heal as needed. Very, very straightforward.

When you are not in werewolf form, you want to use Rally to get your Major Brutality up pre-fight as well as Hardened Armor for Major Resolve, apply your back bar buffs and DoTs (Noxious Breath, Flames of Oblivion, and Soul Trap), swap to the front bar, place Venomous Claw on your main target, and then use Brawler.  Swap to Reverse Slice when the enemies are low on HP.  When you’re low on health, use Fragmented Shield and then Resolving Vigor. You can also refresh Rally if you need a big burst heal in a pinch.
