Introduction
Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Solo Magicka Arcanist Build PvE, Dread, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for playing solo PvE content, such as questing, public dungeons, Maelstrom Arena, etc.! This build is focused around pumping out strong DoT pressure, taking advantage of the strong pressure skills the Arcanist has to offer! My goal with this Arcanist build was to create a magicka focused build that could play solo effectively, but had strong thematic ties and was easy to acquire.

Skills
Front Bar – Destruction Staff: Escalating Runeblades, Tentacular Dread, Pragmatic Fatecarver, Elemental Susceptibility, Evolving Runemend, Flawless Dawnbreaker
Back Bar – Destruction Staff: Cruxweaver Armor, Elemental Blockade, Harness Magicka, Fulminating Rune, Inspired Scholarship, The Tide King’s Gaze
- If you dont need an additional heal, replace Evolving Runemend with Channeled Acceleration or Barbed Trap.
- The Gold Road chapter added the new Scribing system, which allows you to customize 11 new skills to fit your own play style. If you would like to work one of those skills into this build, feel free to add them in as you see fit.
Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal
For this build we are playing as a Mortal. This build doesn’t need anything that the vampire skill line gives us, and werewolf provides no benefit to magicka builds.
Champion Points
The list below showcases the order in which champion points should be acquired, the number of points you need to place into that perk and whether or not it needs to be slotted in the CP bar. The Warfare CP perks increase your damage and mitigation and are the most important, the Fitness tree has some miscellaneous sustain and defensive perks and the Craft tree has crafting and non-combat bonuses. The Craft CP points are entirely customizable to however you want, or you can follow the list below.

Resource Management & Rotation
- Maintain all of the DoTs, buffs and debuffs on the build so you can fulfill the build’s maximum offensive/defensive potential.
- Your goal outside of maintaining your DoTs and buffs is to build crux and spend it with Tentacular Dread to apply its debuff. Then, swap to spending crux on Pragmatic Fatecarver!
- If you know a boss/mob is going to deal a big amount of damage, hold block and use your Harness Magicka to shield yourself and Evolving Runemend to heal yourself back up.
