Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Stamina Templar DPS PvP Build, The Fortress, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for PvP of all kinds: battlegrounds, Cyrodiil, dueling, and Imperial City.  This build can be played in both CP and no-CP pvp without any changes to the build!

This build is the successor to my Ravaging Light build, which was killed with the Scalebreaker patch. I tried to keep the same feel of the old build with this one, but improve it within the confines of the new patch. I decided with this one instead of using heavy armor, to go with a high resistance medium armor build, since I felt that was the best way to go after a lot of the changes to the heavy armor gear sets. We still utilize dual wield for the bleeds, but that is now on the back bar so we can use a 2 piece set. This setup has a TON of DoTs in it, which allows us to really charge up our PoTL and have it give us a huge burst after it expires. This build is fast, tanky, has good sustain and a ton of damage.

Keep in mind that PvP builds are very personal.  This is what worked for ME.  If you don’t like something about it, change it to fit your playstyle.

Gear Choices

Spriggan’s: This set gives a TON of damage due to amount of penetration on the 5 piece. This make’s a perfect front bar set, allowing us to run a 2 piece on our back bar. While I normally like to go for weapon damage on my stamplar for healing/damage capabilities, since the build has such high resistance already, I wanted to go for the maximum offensive option.

Fortified Brass: Really strong set to craft in medium armor. This allows us to get the passives from medium armor while remaining tanky. This set is my favorite for when I play stamina templar in medium armor.

Blood Spawn: Amazing all-around set; gives us stamina recovery, resistance and ultimate generation. Not much more we can ask for from our monster set!

Stinging Slashes: Works as a great back bar set since we have Spriggan’s on our front bar. This set ramps up the damage of our Blood Craze, allowing our DoT pressure to be that much stronger!

Tips & Misc.

  • Power of the Light is effectively your execute, and also applies minor fracture. Make sure to keep this up on your opponent, especially when Dawnbreaker is ready. Since this is a dual wield build with a LOT of DoTs, we can build up the execute damage for this skill to its max potential.
  • This build is very tanky due to the amount of mitigation is has from blood spawn and fortified brass, as well as the amount of healing from our skills. If you’re taking a lot of heat, be sure to cleanse yourself, apply vigor/rally and kite around so all of your HoTs/HP Recovery can heal you back up.
  • Be sure to always maintain Rally, Restoring/Channeled Focus and Quick Cloak to optimize the tankiness and damage the build has to offer.
  • One thing you need to get used to as a stamina templar is heavy attacking. While light attack weaving is good when you want to put big damage on an opponent quickly, you will be heavy attacking a lot with a stamplar, so make sure you practice and utilize heavy attacks to their fullest potential.
