Introduction
Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Stamina Dragonknight Build PvP, The Witch Knight, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for PvP of all kinds: battlegrounds, Cyrodiil, dueling, and Imperial City. This build can be played in both CP and no-CP pvp!
This Stamina Dragonknight has changed a lot since its last iteration. While I enjoyed my pure DoT build, for some reason I wasnt feeling it as much in Deadlands on the Dragonknight. I decided to go back to an old-school heavy armor Dizzying Swing playstyle and have found success with it! This build is able to pump out a ton of ultimates, giving you a lot of sustain, and then either damage or defensive capability based on which ult you use!
The build has been working well for me so far, and it’s been enjoyable doing a throwback style to the stamDK builds of old!
Keep in mind that PvP builds are very personal. This is what worked for ME. If you don’t like something about it, change it to fit your playstyle.

Gear Choices
Bloodspawn: This set is a tried and true DK favorite, giving us extra tankiness, stamina sustain and ultimate generation! This ultimate generation, thanks to the dragonknight passives, gives us a big boost to sustain, along of course with the added benefit of being able to ult very frequently, especially considering both major and minor heroism are present in this build!
Malacath: Since this is a heavy armor build, our critical chance isnt the highest, which makes Malacath a great item to use for a nice damage boost!
Trainee: With the way we have our gear setup, we have an extra gear slot which Trainee fits perfectly, giving us a big boost to our health!
Daedric Trickery: This set has become a recent favorite of mine after giving it a try! It gives us a random major buff between Expedition, Mending, Vitality, Heroism or Protection every 9 seconds that last for 21 seconds! What this means is that we can have up to 3 different major buffs from this set active on us at one time! All of these major buffs are great too, making this an extremely strong set to have!
Witch-Knight’s Defiance: This set gives a TON of weapon damage to the stamina dragonknight. Since two of our main DoT skills are poison skills, we can keep the 5 piece of this set active at all times.

Vampire vs. Mortal
For this build I am playing as a stage 3 vampire. With the nerfing of health recovery in PvP that happened in Blackwood, one of the biggest drawbacks to vampire is no longer a concern. In my opinion, the Undeath passive feels really necessary to maintain a certain level of tankiness. Undeath gives us a ton of mitigation as our health gets low, protecting our heals and allowing us to get back into the fight. Stamina dragonknight can also use stage 3 vampire pretty effectively due to the fact that its skill costs are pretty cheap, so increasing them by a percentage isnt the end of the world (especially since we also play as an Imperial to off-set some of the cost increase).
Champion Points
The list below showcases the order in which champion points should be acquired, the number of points you need to place into that perk and whether or not it needs to be slotted in the CP bar. The Warfare CP perks increase your damage and mitigation and are the most important, the Fitness tree has some miscellaneous sustain and defensive perks and the Craft tree has crafting and non-combat bonuses. The Craft CP points are entirely customizable to however you want, or you can follow the list below.

Other Important Info
Buff Food
Lava Foot Soup and Saltrice: Maximum Stamina and Stamina Recovery
Mundus
Serpent – Increased Stamina Recovery
Race
Imperial – Imperial gives us an extremely nice stat spread with a massive boost to both health and stamina, helping us to achieve very nice sheet stats. On top of that, the 6% cost reduction helps greatly counteract the negative effects of playing as a stage 3 vampire. In addition, the cost reduction also applies to our core combat skills (break free, dodge roll, block, sprint, bash, and sneak), giving us a ton of effective sustain!
Potions/Poisons
Essence of Health (Restore Magicka, Health and Stamina)
(Bugloss, Columbine and Mountain Flower)
Damage Health Poison IX (Ravage Health and Gradual Ravage Health)
(Fleshfly larvae, Nightshade and Emetic Russula)
Passives
Class (all), Medium Armor (all), Heavy Armor (all), 1h and Shield (all), Two-Handed (all), Undaunted (all), Racial (all), Alchemy (Medicinal Use), Assault (all), Support (all except the first)
Tips & Misc.
- Maintain your buffs and debuffs at all times to maximize the amount of damage, tankiness and healing the build has to offer.
- Offensively your goal is to maintain Heroic Slash on yourself (for the minor heroism), your Noxious Breath and Venomous Claw on your opponent (for Witch-Knight), and then focus on Dizzying Swing spam. As their HP gets low, you can use Take Flight into Executioner to finish them off!
- Defensively you want to use Forward Momentum to remove snares and be able to kite unimpeded, then swap to your back bar to use Fragmented Shield (if Trickery didnt proc Mending) into Resolving Vigor and Cauterize to get your heals rolling. If you’re really struggling to stay alive, pop Spell Wall.
