Introduction
Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Solo Stamina Necromancer Build PvE, Decay, for the Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for playing solo PvE content, such as questing, public dungeons, Maelstrom Arena, etc.! This build is focused around strong AoE pressure, causing your enemies to decay as they get cleaved down by your damage! The Necromancer is one of the stronger classes in the Elder Scrolls Online, able to pump out a ton of damage all while being incredibly tanky at the same time. My goal with this StamCro build was to create a stamina necromancer build that could play solo effectively, but had strong thematic ties, so you will be causing your enemies to rot before your very eyes with this themed solo PvE build!

Gear Set Explanation
Mighty Chudan: This set adds a ton of additional tankiness to the build from the extra resistances and health on the one piece bonus, but the main reason we run it is because it gives us our major resolve buff. Getting a key buff like Major Resolve from our armor frees up a skill slot, allowing us to slot other skills that we need to make the build as effective as possible!
Hunding’s Rage: One of the most solid sets in the game, Hunding’s is incredibly strong for how easy it is to acquire. This crafted set is a staple for stamina damage dealers, and there is a reason you always see it recommended for newer players! The bonuses to stamina, critical, and the big boost to weapon damage on the 5 piece just make it a very well rounded set to use for PvE!
Defiler: This set plays perfectly into the “Decay” theme of the build, adding a strong poison proc and stun on critical hits! This set adds a nice amount of additional AoE cleave into the build as well, making it even easier for us to take down large packs of enemies. We have a ton of critical chance on this build as well, so we will be proccing this set very frequently!
Attributes
All points into stamina.
Skills
Front Bar – 2h: Venom Skull, Brawler, Blighted Blastbones, Reverse Slice, Rally, Pestilent Colossus
Back Bar – Bow: Endless Hail, Detonating Siphon, Razor Caltrops, Resolving Vigor, Spirit Guardian, Ravenous Goliath
Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal
For this build we are playing as a Mortal. This build doesn’t need anything that the vampire or werewolf skill lines give us.

Resource Management & Rotation
- Maintain Endless Hail, Detonating Siphon, Razor Caltrops, Spirit Guardian & Rally at all times to maintain the build’s maximum offensive/defensive potential.
- Once you have your buffs & DoTs rolling, you’re going to want to enter a fight with Blastbones, and use one of your spammable attacks, recasting Blastbones after it explodes each time. If fighting a large pack of enemies, use Brawler as your spammable; if only 1 or 2, use Venom Skull. Swap your spammable to Reverse Slice as your enemies get below 25%-30% health. Be sure not to forget to refresh your buffs and DoTs, and use a light attack in between each attack for maximum damage!
- Weave in your Colossus whenever you have it available. Not only does it deal a TON of damage, but it gives your enemy the major vulnerability debuff, increasing their damage taken by a massive 30%! If you are in a tough boss fight though and really need the additional tankiness, use Ravenous Goliath instead! You’ll be basically invincible during that time, and can just focusing on killing your enemies!
- If you know a boss/mob is going to deal a big amount of damage, dodge roll and use your Resolving Vigor to heal yourself. If you need a really big heal in a pinch, refresh your Rally.
