Introduction

Welcome to DottzGaming.com’s Stamina Nightblade Build PvP, HonorBlade, for the game; Elder Scrolls Online! This build is intended for open world engagements such as: Cyrodiil, battlegrounds, 1vX, and Imperial city. This build can have fair success in dueling though that’s not it’s strong spot. The changes to stamblade may have affected the time it takes to kill an opponent but they haven’t really affected it’s potential to secure a kill.

Gear Explanation

  • Blood Spawn: Ult Gen, Resistances, and a bit of Stam Regen, what’s not the like! Many may suggest Troll King and to be honest Troll King is like Training wheels. Only use troll king when you are learning a new build/class or you’re build has no good forms of healing.
  • Titanborn Strength: This set won’t always be useful but when it is useful it will be very effective. Imagine someone hits you with a frags and you get hit but you dodge away only to turn around and smack them with a big incap because your at low health and the set is giving you the bonus, then you heal up and it’s a big heal because this set’s damage will also apply to the healing. Amazing!
  • Hunding’s Rage: I choose this over spriggans because it helps our healing and the crit that Hundings offers is very nice.

Attributes

All points into Stamina.

Skills

Main Bar – Two-Handed Sword: Relentless Focus, Surprise Attack, Executioner, Mass Hysteria, Rally, Incapacitating Strike

Back Bar – Bow: Shadowy Disguise, Shuffle, Poison Injection, Resolving Vigor, Leeching Strikes, Ballista

Vampire vs. Werewolf vs. Mortal

Vampire isn’t worth it. Not for the Regen or the sneak speed.

Werewolf is okay to have but I seldom use it. Sometimes you can put it on your back bar for extra sustain but overall I feel like having Ballista provides more benefit.

Other Important Info

Buff Food

Dubious Camoran Throne: Maximum Health, Stamina and Stamina Recovery

Mundus

Warrior– Increased Weapon Damage

Race

  1. Dunmer: Great Damage and max stats. Might still need some source of stam or magicka regen but overall you should be ok if you play your cards right.
  2. Orc: Sprint speed is awesome in general but with orc we get the same Weapon Damage as Dunmer as well as some other helpful passives to boot that will give you more stam and keep you alive.
  3. Nord: Good max stats with some nice resistances to keep us alive. The Ult Gen is also fairly nice.

DO NOT USE BOSMER

I know they are cute and everyone loves them but using them with this setup will give you a crazy amount of sustain and not enough damage. It is a detriment to use Wood Elf with this Build. If you really want to use Wood Elf with this build you’ll need to replace Battlefield Acrobat with Shacklebreaker and you’d still need the protective jewelry. (Jewelry Crafting is expensive)

Potions/Poisons

Health, Stamina, and Weapon Crit potions go best with this build as it helps our heals crit as well as our damage. Tripots are also a good option but I feel like it’s significantly better and cheaper to use Weapon Crit instead.

Passives

Class (all), Medium (all), Light (all except the ones that require you to wear 5 pieces), Heavy Armor (all except the ones that require you to wear 5 pieces), Bow (all), Two Handed (all), Fighters Guild (All but Intimidate), Undaunted (all), Racial (all), Alchemy (Medicinal Use), Assault (all), Support (all except the first)

Tips & Misc.

The following is basically a checklist of what you want to do when you play this build. It is important to note that in PvP we have no true rotation, that is even more true as a nightblade.

  • Maintain Relentless Focus on yourself at all times.
  • Always try and combo stuns with Relentless Focus or Incapacitating Strike’s damage bonus
  • In a fight it is important to keep Rally up as it gives your damage buff and recovery. It’s also your burst heal, the longer it’s active the more it heals you for when you recast it.
  • When using Shade keep it active as often as you can. This will help us escape tricky situations over all. I use shade more on this build than on my magblade.
  • Stun your opponent every 6-8 seconds.
  • If you’re at low health it might be a good time to strike, be aware of your surroundings.

Some other misc. tips:

  • Rally is kind of a “Defensive Spammable” in that it grants some healing on use but it’s super ineffective to spam so it’s very important to use Relentless Focus even when we are pressured and at low health. The counter pressure might make your opponent lay off a bit to take care of their own wounds but the healing you get from a close range Relentless is also fairly meaningful. If you feel the need to spam Rally make sure you already hit Vigor before you do.
  • In nearly all engagements it helps to stay mobile, even if that means changing where you do LoS.
  • Drink potions on cooldown as it gives you ult via a nightblade passive and more crit chance.
  • With the Relentless heal requiring a 7 meter range and using Mass Hysteria as our stun you’ll find yourself needing to get close consistently. Thus we should stay on top of our opponent as much as possible and only retreat if we must.
  • If you don’t have a Master’s bow then take poison injection off, put fear where that used to be, and add ambush to your front bar.
