This is the 6th video and guide of my Dungeon Walkthrough series for the Elder Scrolls Online! The dungeon covered in this video and written guide is Banished Cells 2.  This guide will cover everything you could want to know about the dungeon, such as notable gear sets, boss mechanics, and more!

  • Dungeon Name: Banished Cells 2
  • Zone: Auridon
  • Difficulty: Normal
  • Party Composition: 4 (1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps)
  • Quests: The Plan
  • Level Unlocked: 45
  • Gear Sets: Sanctuary, Jailbreaker, Tormentor
  • Other (Achievements, Other points of note): Achievement for completing – Banished Cells 2 Vanquisher
  • Story: Keeper Cirion needs your help binding the spirit of a dangerous high elf named High Kindlord Rilis, again.
  • Bosses and Mechanics
    • Keeper Areldur
      • Kill the adds around the boss first, be careful because when they die there is an AoE explosion that happens under their corpse.
      • The boss puts circular AoE fire on the ground that should be avoided. You’ll see it happen when the Keeper raises their staff in the air and you can see the projectiles travel to the ground.
      • From time to time the Keeper shoots fire out in lines with the boss being the center point. Do your best to avoid being in the fire.
    • Maw of the Infernal
      • Puts AoE fire underneath the party member that has aggro. This fire does NOT go away.
        • Because the fire never disappears, it’s best to slowly kite the boss around the room in a big circle. This helps make sure that no members of your party are just standing in the fire the entire fight.
      • The boss has a conal AoE fire breath, avoid this.
    • Keeper Voranil
      • Uses a heavy attack that should be blocked.
      • Swings his mace in an AoE around him, simply stand outside of the area.
      • He has a third mechanic where he looks like he is siphoning something from whoever has aggro, my assumption is that this is a health steal or something that gives him a buff. From my run through the dungeon, it isn’t anything of major concern.
    • Keeper Imiril
      • Summons orbs around the room that deal AoE damage and do not disappear, avoid them.
      • After a certain period of time, she disappears into an orb and summons adds, these adds need to be dealt with immediately. The clanfears are especially important to kill as quickly as possible, as they have a charge that can knock people down and a tail whip that deals heavy damage.
      • After she comes back out of the orb (which is just after a set period of time, not by whether or not the adds are killed) she will deal an AoE attack that should be avoided.
      • The boss then rinses and repeats the last two steps. The reason it is so important to kill the adds is because every time she disappears into an orb, more are summoned. Being that her transition in and out of the orbs isn’t dependent on anything the group does, the adds will continue to add up as she enters orbs, and the group can be easily overrun.
    • Soul Harvester Sisters
      • They have an AoE attack that summons 3 ice tornados in front of them, avoid this.
      • Focus on sister at a time. Once a damage shield pops up on the one your attack, swap to the other sister. Repeat until both bosses are dead.
    • High Kinlord Rilis
      • Puts a player in a bubble and lifts them into the air. The player then falls to the ground and takes damage. Be careful if this is your healer, as they wont be able to heal your party during this time.
        • Upon landing, you will have red or blue runes surrounding you, while taking DOT damage.  There is a corresponding colored circle on the ground you need to run to in order to dispel it.  THe other way to dispel it is if you have a Templar in your group, they can purify it, or you can use purge from the assault tree (I’m not sure if this is in vet mode only, I think it may also be in normal mode. Keep an eye out for this).
      • The boss will teleport around the room, and when he does, a daedroth and two feasts are summoned. The feasts should be killed first because if they reach him he will be healed. Deal with the daedroth second.
      • He also has a knockback attack that you should be prepared to break. He summons fire AoE when he does this.
      • He summons blue fire around the room at random that deals high damage, this should be avoided at all costs.
