Welcome to’s Warden Healer PvP Build, the Arborist, for the Elder Scrolls Online!  This build is specifically for healing on a warden in PvP.  It provides amazing support, excellent mobility and great survivability.  It utilizes low cost ultimate skills in order to provide quick healing support to those who are in battle.  It is not recommended for any type of solo play.

NOTE:  This is not a basic build and will be needing some help to get the set pieces you need.  You can level this build as you see fit.  It’s not until CP 160 where you will have to start farming for Permafrost in Maelstrom Arena. It’s easier to run normal with an alt that does damage and upgrade the pieces later.  It’s best to level up your resto and destro staff as well as class abilities as you travel to level 50. As for Transmutation, it’s best to get the jewelry and weapons from the guild stores.  Build up undaunted while healing dungeons or try practicing your healing in Kyne.

Additionally you can use Dottz’s Warden leveling guide located here.

Everything into magicka, your health should be optimal for PvP with your gear.

Front bar – Restoration Staff:

  1. Ward Ally – This is a preemptive shield that will save others while protecting yourself.  As a healer you will be the main focus of the enemy and this will give you a safety buffer to get out of town.  Casting this on you will proc the Permafrost set and increase your Health Recovery by almost 1000.
  2. Healing Springs – Spam this on small groups during bridge fights and keep sieges.  The more people you can hit with this the less the magicka cost will be.
  3. Nature’s Embrace – This will be your main spammable heal that will give you the best mobility.  Since it gives a heal over time, it’s best to use before going into battle.  Be careful about using this too close to zerg or bridge battles.  Effective when you need to get to the back of the pack or during retreating maneuvers.  The skill needs a little practice to get used to the targeting. Will trigger Transmutation.
  4. Quick Siphon – Use this on the enemies and you will heal whoever hits them.  It’s instant cast and has a 20 second duration.
  5. Blue Betty – This little guy restores mana over 24 seconds, gives 12% magicka and stamina recovery boost, cleans one negative effect from you and heals you when it is unsummoned, FOR FREE. Make sure it’s always up.
  6. ULT – Light’s Champion – This low cost ultimate heals a ton over 5 seconds, giving your target Major Force and Major Protection. Use whenever there’s a large battle where many people are injured.

Back bar – Frost Staff:

  1. Destructive Clench – Using this skill with a frost staff will lock a person down for at least 6 seconds.  Giving you time to warp to safety while healing your friends.
  2. Shimmering Shield – Can be used directly after locking someone down, ensuring they do not range attack you.  Builds ultimate very quickly.
  3. Nature’s Embrace – Gives you a heal and mobility on the back bar.
  4. Invigorating Drain – Used to stun enemies so your allies can crush them.  Also builds more ultimate if you spam it.  You will usually be Vampire level 4 making you harder to kill and makes it quicker to stealth after warping to one of your friends.
  5. Elusive Mist – This is your failsafe in case the enemy breaks free of your Destructive Clench.  After running away, hit him with another clench to lock him down again.
  6. Ultimate – Healing Thicket – Use this to heal people at choke points who are running to attack or retreating.  It’s low cost makes it an optional situational heal.

Atronach – The Mage – The Ritual are all acceptable.  Try each to see which one fits your playstyle.

  1. Argonian

  • Heavy Armor: All
  • Vampire: All
  • Undaunted: All (optional)
  • Assault: All

  • Alchemy: Medicinal Use

Tips & Misc.

  1. Use Ward Ally first as it is your main shield that gives you health recovery as well.
  2. Watch your positioning and learn which skills to use in what situation.
  3. Always keep your Blue Betty up, it’s too good not to.
  4. You are not a damage dealer, you are to support those who can dish out the pain.  Lock people down liberally with clench when the enemy is in retreat as it will make them use their stamina on a Break Free.
  5. Use Light’s Champion offensive as well as defensively whenever you have the ultimate to cast it.
  6. You won’t need a mount with Nature’s Embrace.  Just find someone in your group and latch on to them to get to where you need to be.  It takes practice but it’s VERY fun to do.  (Note:  Do not latch onto people in stealth to travel, they may get a little annoyed.)
