Welcome to’s Magicka Templar PvP DPS Build, the Warpriest, for the Elder Scrolls Online!  This build is mainly focused towards CP campaigns but, with some additional practice, can survive without the CP bonuses if you prefer that.  My CP is not currently at max level, but I can show you my set-up as of now and you can fill out the rest of the points as you’d like!

If there is something you would prefer to use over what I’ve said here because you prefer it, use it by all means. A build should be fun for you to play so you don’t just get bored.

Magicka Templar DPS PvP Build
Gear Slot Set Weight Trait Enchant Acquisition
Head War Maiden Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Vvardenfell or Guild Trader
Shoulders Kena Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Undaunted Chest
Gloves Julianos Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Crafted
Legs Julianos Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Crafted
Chest Julianos Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Crafted
Belt Julianos Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Crafted
Boots Julianos Light Divines/Impenetrable Magicka Crafted
Necklace War Maiden Jewelry Arcane Magicka Regen Vvardenfell or Guild Trader
Ring War Maiden Jewelry Arcane Magicka Regen Vvardenfell or Guild Trader
Ring War Maiden Jewelry Arcane Spell Damage Vvardenfell or Guild Trader
Weapon 1 War Maiden Flame Staff Infused Oblivion Vvardenfell or Guild Trader
Shield 1 War Maiden Restoration Staff Infused Weapon and Spell Damage Vvardenfell or Guild Trader

NOTE: I personally run light on all for the bonuses as I found those most useful, but if you need the resources from the Undaunted passives more than run 5 light, 1 medium, and 1 heavy. I also prefer running full divines for the extra damage but if you feel the defense from impenetrable is better for you, use that for sure.

All points into Magicka.

I personally play mortal but if you don’t mind the resistance drawbacks, vampire would be a good boost in recovery.

Other Important Info

Buff Food

Witchmother’s Potent Brew – Max Health, Max Magicka, Magicka Recovery

Apprentice – Increased Spell Damage

  1. Breton
  2. High Elf
  3. Dark Elf

Immovable, Restore Health, Restore Magicka (Bugloss, Columbine, Wormwood)

All class passives, racial passives, light armor passives, undaunted passives, destruction staff passives, restoration staff passives, mages guild passives, assault passives, and the last 2 support passives.

FRONT BAR: Once in range, spam Dark Flare until they’re at 50% and then use Radiant Glory for the execute, weaving in light attacks when you can. If they get in close use Flame Clench to make them back up and if they persist, spam Puncturing Sweep instead for the damage and self-heals. Use Soul Assault when you can because it can drop an opponent pretty quick.

BACK BAR: Buff with Restoring Focus and apply your Healing Ward. Cast Degeneration on your opponent for the damage and the chance at some healing. If you get low on health, play defensively by shielding up again and use Honor the Dead to get your health back up. If they try to debuff you or snare you, use Ritual of Retribution to remove the debuffs while healing yourself and damaging your enemies. If there’s a large group of enemies and it’s available, drop Solar Disturbance. Use potions when necessary (low health/magicka and you need it back fast).
